"Are you sure this water's sanitary? It looks questionable to me." - Young Tantor (Tarzan)
Doesn't the title just sound cool? "Scientists demonstrate quantum nature of entanglement swapping"
"Warming signs mount up in Antarctica"
"30 years of Apple: Assessing Apple's impact"
Soon to be (bad) sci-fi movie plot: "Long mobile phone use raises brain tumor risk"
"Prayer does not heal the sick, study finds" - I really want to make a comment here but I decided against it.
"New String-Theory Notion Redefines the Big Bang"
This movie looks funny: "Scrat steals 'Ice Age' show". (It is a movie, it has a sloth, hence I like it).
Now I hate to post and run, but I got lots to do this weekend. Projects and homework are coming along, slowly but they are getting there. Well, I think they are anyway.
Is my screen suppose to be getting all blurry like that? Oh wait I just needed to blink a couple times...
(Just ignore me and my sarcastic comments....It seemed a lot funnier in my head....)
Welcome to my randomly updated blog about - well lacking any scientific words to describe it - stuff. May or may not be limited to: computer science, knitting, books, movies, or music

The Oracle and the Bunny
"Ohh, what's really going to bake your noodle later on is, would you still have broken it if I hadn't said anything?" - Oracle (The Matrix)
Today in algorithm class we discussed the Oracle Turing Machine. Whenever I hear the word Oracle my brain automatically thinks Matrix. Yeah, can't explain that one either so I just don't try.
Sorry about the lack of updates - I just haven't gotten around to it recently. My projects and homework are keeping me busy. There is only a month of school left (for this term).
It is actually starting to look like spring around here. Today the high is 65! (and the sun is trying to come out behind some clouds!) Yesterday it was in the 50s. Really, it has been pretty nice all week.
News you probably don't care about but I am going to tell you anyway:
"Spacecrafts witness a new facet of Earth's magnetic behaviour"
"Carnegie refines WMU's status as research university"
Really, we shouldn't make fun of professors...
"Going With The Flow"
On a complete side note (and I am sure most of you don't care) but I am going to tell you anyway. Each Wednesday's I go ice skating. Anyway, I am slowly starting to do single jumps and some of the basic spins again. Oh and I have been practicing some of the basic footwork stuff. It has been such a nice part of my week. Of course, I am still horribly out of shape - but I am enjoying every minute of the ice skating! It is one of the highlights of my week :)
Have a nice weekend everyone! Hope you weather is as nice as mine!

Sunday Funny Bunnies
"Good writers borrow from other writers, great writers steal from them outright." - Sam Seaborn (The West Wing)
Again, I really don't have a clue about the bunnies in the title thing. It is possibly due the fact that at this point in the semester I usually start going a little nuts...crazy...insane...a few fries short of a happy meal...
Anyway, lets move on to more important stuff. It is Sunday and that means the TV show The West Wing is on tonight. According to the write-up one of the guest stars for this evenings episode is Jon Bon Jovi.
As for random bits of news:
"The man who could fix Windows"
"World's tallest tower looms in Tokyo"
"Climate Model Predicts Greater Melting, Submerged Cities"
"New data transmission record - 60 DVDs per second"
On a completely unrelated side note I posted my comment about the Omega 13 Bunnies post (the relationship between Ackermanns function and Galexy Quest) if you are at all interested. However, I highly doubt that you are but I figured I would tell you anyway.
Well, my 5 minute breaks over. I have to get back to working on my projects and homework. Oh so much fun. So much fun I almost fell out of my chair. Oh wait that was because I almost fell asleep. Silly me. ;-)
Hope you are having a happy weekend! Thanks for stopping by.

Ann Arbor Bunnies
"There are some fish that cannot be caught. It's not that they're faster or stronger than other fish, they're touched by something extra. " - Young Ed Bloom (Big Fish)
"Falcons or music at Burton Tower? Maybe both"
"Scientists identify two new forms of ice"
Someone asked me about things to do in Ann Arbor the other day. Since I was already looking for the websites, I figured that I would post them here as well. If any of you can think of any others, let me know. Thanks.
Food:
While in Ann Arbor if you want some of the best Chicago style pizza in Michigan check out Pizza Hourse on Church Street. They have the best cheesy bread sticks...
If vegetarian (or vegan) is more your style, I highly recommend Seva. They have wonderful daily/weekly/seasonal specials. Oh and some of the best ice tea in the midwest.
Random Trivia (many people probably know): In the movie Big Fish you can hear the University of Michigan fight song (reference)
